WWII

World War II was a global conflict that lasted from 1939 to 1945, involving most of the world's nations. It was primarily between the Allies, led by the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom, and the Axis, led by Germany, Italy, and Japan. The war resulted in significant global changes, including the Holocaust, the rise of the United States and the Soviet Union as superpowers, and the beginning of the Cold War. It ended with the unconditional surrender of the Axis powers in 1945.
