Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc was a French peasant girl who led the French army to several victories during the Hundred Years' War, believing she was guided by divine voices. Captured and tried for heresy, she was burned at the stake in 1431. Later, she was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
