Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military leader and emperor who rose to prominence during the French Revolution. Born in 1769, he became Emperor of the French in 1804 and led France through significant military expansions in Europe, known as the Napoleonic Wars. His legal reform, the Napoleonic Code, has had a lasting impact on civil law jurisdictions worldwide. Napoleon was defeated in 1815 at the Battle of Waterloo and died in exile in 1821.
